Curtis Jones sends Liverpool message after confirmed Alexander-Arnold news
Trent Alexander-Arnold’s message to Liverpool supporters has been met with an eight-word response from Curtis Jones.
Liverpool fans only have three more chances to see Alexander-Arnold take to the pitch in red after his departure from Anfield was confirmed, and that will pave the way for his expected move to Real Madrid.
The futures of Alexander-Arnold, Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk have dominated an otherwise successful season for the Reds, who wrapped up the Premier League title with four games to spare.
However, while the latter duo both penned new contracts to stay put at Anfield for the next two seasons, Alexander-Arnold’s confirmation of his imminent exit will bring a 20-year association with Liverpool to an end.

Curtis Jones reacts to Alexander-Arnold’s Liverpool message
Reds fans have long expected Alexander-Arnold’s departure to be confirmed despite suggestions that the 26-year-old would choose to stay at Anfield, and on Tuesday (5 May), the right-back took to social media.
Alexander-Arnold posted an almost three-minute video to address Liverpool fans and justified his choice to leave the club, after over 350 appearances for the Reds, 23 goals and 92 assists since his 2016 debut.

Liverpool have been left to rue their mismanagement of the contractual situation which will see one of their best-ever academy products leave for free, but another local product was left with no regrets.
Jones has filled in as a makeshift right-back in Alexander-Arnold’s place at times this season, and shared the Liverpool number 66’s video on his Instagram story (5 May) with a message for his team-mate.
Jones said: “Thank you for everything brother. Legend – good luck.”

Liverpool must succeed in Alexander-Arnold succession plan
Although Liverpool’s higher-ups will be far from happy that Alexander-Arnold will leave the Reds for free, confirmation of his exit puts an end to the speculation which has overshadowed this season’s discourse.
Football Insider revealed that plans to sign a new first-team right-back are already in place at Anfield, and Liverpool’s full focus will now be on succeeding in their efforts to improve their defensive stocks.
Slot has already expressed a desire to sign Bayer Leverkusen wing-back Jeremie Frimpong, and though the Reds won’t get a financial windfall from Alexander-Arnold’s departure, they should still be able to make a headline signing which helps fans move on.
