Daizen Maeda is blown away by Celtic fans after what he just heard
Daizen Maeda has won over the hearts of Celtic supporters with his latest goal for the club in the Scottish Cup quarter-finals.
Celtic booked their place in the final four of the competition as their quest for the treble has remained alive this season.
The Hoops defeated Hibernian 2-0 after a first-half goal from Daizen Maeda and a last-minute finish from Adam Idah in the 92nd minute.
It continued the impressive run of form that Brendan Rodgers’ side are enjoying this season, with the club having already won the Scottish League Cup while they boast a dominant 16-point gap over Rangers in the Scottish Premiership.
Celtic have the chance to win all three trophies this season if they can continue progressing in the competition, with this being their last remaining focus.
Rodgers’ men have an important Scottish Premiership fixture up next though as they face Rangers on Sunday (16 March).

Daizen Maeda appreciated the love from Celtic fans
Maeda reacted well to Nicolas-Gerrit Kuhn’s shot being saved in the first half, as he pounced on the opportunity to smash the ball into an empty net.
This was Maeda’s 27th goal of the season across all competitions as the Japan international continues to be a dominant attacking output for the club.

Celtic fans rewarded his efforts with a new song, and that’s something Maeda appreciated as he showed on X by saying, “Thank you for the wonderful song!”

Celtic want an even stronger squad next season
It is proving to be a season to remember for the Hoops so far, but the club do not want to rest on that and are already planning for the new campaign.
Celtic fans have urged the club to financially back Rodgers in the transfer market, which is something that is already happening as Kieran Tierney is set to become the highest-paid player at Celtic next season.
Football Insider also revealed that Celtic are monitoring Motherwell star Lennon Miller with a view to try and sign him in the summer.
