Daizen Maeda responds to message from Premier-League-linked Celtic star Arne Engels
Daizen Maeda responded to a message from Celtic teammate Arne Engels after securing a fourth consecutive Premiership title.
Celtic’s 5-0 dismantling of Dundee United on Saturday (26 April) saw them crowned as Premiership champions for a fourth year running.
The Hoops leapt out ahead of Rangers early on and never looked like giving up their lead, although things may not be so easy next year, with Andrew Cavenagh and 49ers Enterprises’ mooted takeover likely giving the Bears a major boost to their transfer budget.
However, with Tottenham thought interested in recruiting Brendan Rodgers should they relieve Ange Postecoglou of his duties, Celtic will have to make a compelling case to the Northern Irish manager to remain at the helm at Parkhead.

Arne Engels sends message to Celtic fans
Having featured for the Hoops in their decisive win over United, Engels shared three images from the action on Instagram, captioned: “Some days! Champions 24/25”.
The post was liked by the Belgian midfielder’s teammate, Maeda, who also commented a love-heart emoji on the post.

The former Augsburg midfielder has nine goals and five assists in the SPFL this season, but has only scored once and assisted twice in his last nine games in the league.
However, the midfielder is young and with another pre-season ahead of him, there will be hopes Engels can take the Premiership by storm next season.
