Dallas axed in Monk 4-2-3-1: Leeds best possible XI to face Aston Villa
COMMENT By Dominic Toner
Garry Monk should make five changes to the Leeds starting line up, with Stuart Dallas dropped from the team to play Aston Villa on Saturday.
Rob Green, Luke Ayling, Pontus Jansson, Kalvin Phillips and Chris Wood should be recalled to the starting XI.
Marco Silvestri, Gaetano Berardi, Liam Cooper, Ronaldo Vieira and Dallas should be the players left out.
Leeds played a mid-week game against Liverpool in the EFL Cup quarter-finals and were eliminated after a 2-0 defeat.
The Whites gave a solid performance against the Premier League opposition, but manager Monk should restore his strongest XI for the Championship clash against Villa.

Souleymane Doukara led the line well against Liverpool and should be restored to the left wing, meaning Dallas is dropped from the side so top scorer Wood can lead the attack.
Monk should name a settled backline ahead of goalkeeper Green, with centre-back Jansson returning after missing games through suspension and illness.
Phillips and Eunan O’Kane should form the midfield pairing, with the latter expected to recover after being forced off injured against Liverpool.
18-year-old Vieira showed against the Merseyside club that he is developing quickly and is a great option for Monk to have.
Dallas needs to rediscover the form from last season when he was a regular start if he is to force his way back into the starting XI.
The left winger has recently returned from injury and is yet to get up to speed.
Leeds’ clash against in-form Villa is set to be difficult, meaning Hadi Sacko and Doukara would be the better options to start the game out wide.
Attacker Kemar Roofe should continue in the number 10 role despite not scoring in his first 22 appearances for the club.
The 23-year-old has done everything but score in recent games and has looked impressive in a central role.
Leeds striker Wood should be recalled to the side and will be hopeful of adding his 13th goal of the season against Villa, with Marcus Antonsson having to settle for a substitute role.
