Dalot and Joelinton react as Fulham star Pereira sends ‘priceless’ message

Fulham midfielder Andreas Pereira has taken to social media to send an emotional message that has garnered a reaction from several Premier League players.

The 29-year-old enjoyed an impressive season at Craven Cottage, as Marco Silva‘s side claimed an 11th place finish in the Premier League.

During the campaign, Pereira saw plenty of speculation emerge around his Fulham future, with questions over a transfer elsewhere.

Given he is now entering the final year of his contract with the Cottagers, there may again be some uncertainty as to what the transfer window may hold for him.

In the mean time, the Fulham star has seemingly enjoyed a productive international break with Brazil.

Andreas Pereira reacts as Brazil extend record

Pereira was included in new Brazil manager Carlo Ancelotti’s squad for this month’s internationals, and came off the bench late on in a draw with Ecuador on Friday (6 June).

On Wednesday (11 June), the Selecao beat Paraguay 1-0 to continue their record of being the only country to qualify for every single World Cup finals.

Although the Fulham man was not involved in that decisive win, he was clearly still keen to relish in the success of his national team.

Taking to Instagram to reflect on qualification, Pereira wrote: “Qualified for [the FIFA World Cup] with great pride! Representing this shirt is priceless, there is no effort that is not worth it!

“Every fight is for our flag, our colors! All together in pursuit of the biggest dream of all! Now it’s time to continue working hard towards this dream! May God bless and protect us”.

In response, his former Man United teammate Diogo Dalot showed his support by liking the post.

A number of Brazilian Premier League players such as Newcastle’s Joelinton, West Ham’s Lucas Paqueta and Arsenal’s Gabriel Magahlaes did the same.

Several of Pereira’s teammates at Fulham, including Sasa Lukic, Antonee Robinson and Raul Jimenez were also among those to hit the like button.

Fulham may be under pressure over midfielder future

Football Insider Verdict

With Brazil now qualified for the World Cup, Pereira is obviously going to be desperate to play in that tournament next summer.

But after limited minutes under a new manager in Ancelotti during this international break, his place in the side may arguably be scrutinised.

As a result, the midfielder may consider a move this summer if he feels that can put him in a stronger position to earn a place at the World Cup, especially given his contract situation could open that door.

Given Fulham may already be concerned about losing Silva this summer, such a situation over one of their key players is something they could do without.

Indeed, Football Insider understands Leeds are considering a bid for Rodrigo Muniz ahead of their return to the Premier League.

With Fulham no doubt keen to avoid too many high profile exits, all that may increase the pressure on them, to find a quick resolution to the situation surrounding Pereira.
