Daniel Farke baffles over Isaac Schmidt ‘nonsense’ – Leeds United fans react

Leeds United fans have been left questioning Daniel Farke over his management of Isaac Schmidt after their FA Cup clash with Harrogate Town.

The full-back moved to Elland Road in the summer transfer window, signing from Swiss side St Gallen for £4.6million (Leeds Live).

But having made that move, the 25-year-old has found game time hard to come by in Yorkshire, making just seven Championship appearances.

Now though, Leeds fans are wondering why he has not been used more by manager Farke, after being given an opportunity in the tight 1-0 FA Cup win against Harrogate at Elland Road on Saturday (11 January).

Isaac Schmidt impresses for Leeds in FA Cup outing

On the whole it was a frustrating performance for Farke’s side against their League Two opposition in that third round clash.

Leeds were fortunate not to concede a penalty early in the first half, and had to wait until the hour mark to open the scoring through Largie Ramazani.

Despite that, Schmidt at least produced an impressive performance, looking solid defensively at right-back, and also offering an outlet going forward at times.

Indeed, many of the club’s supporters appeared surprised he has not been used more by Farke this season as they took to social media to give their thoughts on his performance.
