Daniel Levy has totally misled Antonio Conte after Tottenham source's reveal in last hours - pundit
Frank McAvennie has claimed Daniel Levy has not delivered on the promises he made to Antonio Conte when he joined Tottenham.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former West Ham striker said Spurs need to spend “£100million” on a player of the same calibre as Harry Kane but one that will strengthen their defence.
Sources told Football Insider today (21 March), that the Lilywhites are on the brink of ending the Italian’s reign as manager following late-night talks.
Officials at the London club held further internal discussions on Monday about the 53-year-old’s position and there is a growing feeling that he should not remain in charge for the remainder of the season.
It is expected that Conte will not be manager of Tottenham by the end of the week.
Conte has spent the most on transfer out of the last three managers, forking out £192million on 14 players, whilst clubs like Man City, Man United and Chelsea are spending half of that on individual players.

McAvennie insisted the Spurs boss’s wishes aren’t being met.
“Levy would have promised him everything,” he told Football Insider.
“There is no way Conte would have gone there if he had not.
“He has spent nearly £200million from what I hear. That is only about four or five players in terms of the average money for a player now.
“So he is bringing players in and trying to get them better whereas they need to go and spend £100m on a player like Kane but at the back.“
