Daniel Levy has ‘woken up to nightmare’ at Tottenham after Antonio Conte latest – Hutton
Alan Hutton has claimed Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has woken up to “a nightmare” as Antonio Conte continues to be linked with a return to Juventus.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Spurs right-back said it would be “devastating” to lose Conte, 53, at this stage of the season.
According to Italian outlet ilBiancoNero (19 September), Juventus are interested in bringing Conte back to Turin to replace Massimiliano Allegri.

The Tottenham manager is said to be interested in the prospect of returning to the Italian giants.
His current contract with Spurs expires at the end of the 2022-23 season but there is the option of a 12-month extension clause.
However, Hutton is confident Conte will see out his current project in north London.
“It must be a nightmare for Daniel Levy waking up and reading all these articles in the newspapers to be quite honest,” he told Football Insider.

“I understand the link between Conte and Juventus but he’s only just started his process at Tottenham. They’re actually going somewhere now, you actually get that feeling where they could go on and win something. They’re a very talented squad, they’re organised, they way they play football is at a high level and for Tottenham to lose the manager at this moment in time, it would be devastating for them.
“I think Daniel Levy will be working in the background to do everything he can to hold on to him but it’s going to go down to Conte I guess. If the draw’s too big for him to go back to a club that he knows very well then that’s going to be his decision. But it would be devastating to Tottenham.“
In other news, a pundit can’t believe Djed Spence could quit Tottenham in January after new development.
