Daniel Levy surely set for Tottenham ownership split after stunning reveal
Tottenham’s owners have become more involved in the club’s day-to-day operations since Daniel Levy’s departure.
Tottenham confirmed Levy stepped down as executive chairman on 4 September after spending 24 years in the role.
However, Levy still has an indirect investment in Tottenham due to his shares in ENIC, the club’s majority shareholder.
ENIC owns an 86.91 per cent stake in Spurs, while Levy and members of his family hold a 29.88 per cent share in the British investment company, and Joe Lewis’s family trust own the remaining 70.12 per cent.
ENIC director Peter Charrington was appointed as non-executive chairman following Levy’s exit, with Vinai Venkatesham operating as chief executive following his arrival earlier this year.

Daniel Levy deals under the microscope after Tottenham move
There has been plenty of talk around Levy’s relationship with Tottenham’s owners after his departure came as a surprise to many.
In a new development, Bloomberg reported on Tuesday (9 December) Spurs are conducting an accounting review into Levy’s tenure as part-owner and custodian of the club.
While the news outlet said there is “no indication of wrongdoing”, the review by the Lewis family is understood to cover all commercial aspects of the north London giants’ operation.

While Levy was a divisive figure among the Tottenham fans, there is no doubt he left the club in a strong financial position.
Spurs’ latest published accounts for 2023-24 revealed their commercial income increased from £228m in 2022-23 to £255m.
That helped Tottenham generate the fifth-highest revenue in the Premier League after their turnover stood at £528m for 2023-24.
Levy could agree £750m Tottenham deal
The news of the Lewis family’s review suggests their relationship with Levy has become strained in recent times, with an exit from the ownership group surely on the cards for the former chairman.
Finance expert Stefan Borson previously told Football Insider Levy could sell his shares in ENIC for around £750m after Spurs’ valuation has increased dramatically in recent years.
Levy was previously a close ally of Lewis, who handed over the ownership of Tottenham to his family trust in 2022.
The 88-year-old’s daughter Vivienne, his son Charles and Nick Beucher, the husband of Vivienne’s daughter, have become more actively involved in the running of Spurs over the past few months.

In terms of matters on the pitch, Thomas Frank is looking to take Tottenham forward after being appointed as Ange Postecoglou’s replacement over the summer.
However, a patchy run of form has seen Spurs slip to 11th in the Premier League table, with Frank preparing his side to take on Nottingham Forest on Sunday (14 December).
