Danny Rohl has transformed one player’s Rangers career after tactical tweak he made vs Hibs
Danny Rohl may have found the formula to get the best out of one Rangers player after how the German set up his side against Hibs.
Rohl was announced as Rangers boss only last week, and victory at Hibs means he continued his winning start in the Scottish Premiership with the Glasgow club.
Russell Martin’s tenure at Rangers means they’re already playing catch up, with league leaders Hearts 11 points ahead in table.
Rangers stars were underperforming under Martin, but Rohl may have changed the fortunes of one player.

Nasser Djiga praised for display vs Hibs
Nasser Djiga joined Rangers on loan from Wolves in the summer, though has struggled at the club so far.
However, Djiga earned high praise from Neil McCann on Sportscene [29 October] for his performance against Hibs.
“At times under Russell Martin the two centre-backs were left isolated but the one thing he [Djiga] has got is an aggression to his game and another thing he’s got is an afterburner,” McCann said.
“The gaps between the centre-backs were good tonight but still it is a work in progress.”

Asked why Djiga has struggled at Rangers, McCann said: “He did but I think it was generally how Rangers were playing the full-backs were either inside or they were one high and one inside and they never ever had any cover.
“Maybe that’s why Russell [Martin] wanted to play high because of the pace of Djiga but you can’t go two for two at times and Rangers were doing that early on in the season.
“But with three centre-backs it maybe allows him just to kind of pick his time when to step up, but he played really well tonight and he was a big part of that clean sheet.”
Danny Rohl may have solved defensive issues
Rangers were deemed a soft touch at times under Martin, which contributed to their poor set of results domestically and in Euorpe.
Martin preferred a back four and never changed from the system during his time at Ibrox, whilst Rohl has already made a tactical tweak switching to a back five.
John Souttar may benefit from protection either side of him, whilst a left centre-back role may suit Derek Cornelius.
James Tavernier did not start against Hibs but he may benefit from a wing-back role which will suit his attacking capabilities.
