
Danny Welbeck sends ‘massive’ Brighton message after Bournemouth blown away
Brighton picked up a significant three points in the Premier League on Tuesday (25 February) against Bournemouth.
The Seagulls initially took the lead via Joao Pedro in the 12th from the penalty spot, which was a decision former PGMOL chief Keith Hackett told Football Insider was correct.
Justin Kluivert drew Bournemouth level in the 61st minute until former Man United and Arsenal forward Danny Welbeck scored the match-winner in the 75th minute.
The result was a crucial one for Brighton’s hopes of securing European football as they climbed into eighth place in the Premier League table.
The Seagulls also drew level with the Cherries on points, with only goal difference keeping them behind Bournemouth right now.

Brighton will now have a weekend off Premier League action as they face Newcastle United in the FA Cup on Sunday (2 March).

Danny Welbeck etches his name in Brighton history
Welbeck was able to etch his name into Brighton history books with his goal as the experienced striker scored his 30th goal in the Premier League for the football club.
That has drawn him level with Pascal Gross for the most Premier League goals in the club’s history, meaning nobody has scored more than him.
The experienced striker celebrated the result on Instagram by saying, “Massive 3 points at home!!! The boys worked their socks off and put in a gritty performance to deserve the win.”

Brighton could be raided after Kaoru Mitoma latest
Brighton have once again impressed this season, and the efforts of those within the squad has led to interest from other teams.
Chelsea are interested in signing Kaoru Mitoma, but Football Insider journalist Connor Humm insisted that Brighton are “wanting a lot” of money for his services.
Industry insider Mick Brown also revealed to Football Insider that Liverpool are preparing a “mega-money offer” for Carloe Baleba as the Seagulls prepare to be raided.
