Darren Anderton sends message to Tottenham fans ahead of FA Cup clash
By Amir Mir
Darren Anderton has told Tottenham supporters that “today will be a good day” ahead of their FA Cup semi-final clash against Chelsea.
Former England midfielder Anderton was clearly in a positive mood as Spurs aim to take a step closer to securing their first trophy in nearly ten years.
Premier League leaders Chelsea currently stand in their way of booking a place in the final with either north London rivals Arsenal or Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City.
The return of striker Harry Kane and winning their last two league fixtures 4-0 will give Tottenham a big boost.
On top of that, their opponents suffered a demoralising 2-0 defeat at Manchester United last Sunday as Anderton had this positive message for his former team ahead of the cup tie.

During the quarter-final stages of the FA Cup when Tottenham beat Millwall 5-0, Kane went off injured with an ankle injury.
It was first feared that the England international would miss crucial matches such as the semi-final clash against Chelsea.
However, Kane has recovered in time and started his first league match against Bournemouth last Saturday since the injury he sustained in early March.
Unsurprisingly, he found the back of the net and provided an assist during the 4-0 win to take his goalscoring tally to 25 goals in 31 matches in all competitions.
Kane has faced Antonio Conte’s side on two occasions this term, failing to find the back of the net as he will be looking to put that right at Wembley.
In other Tottenham news, Alan Shearer believes these four could be the match winners against Chelsea.
