Darren Fletcher ditches Ruben Amorim favourite in two changes: Man United predicted XI vs Burnley
Darren Fletcher will take charge of his first game as interim Man United manager against Burnley on Wednesday after Ruben Amorim was officially sacked.
Amorim has been sacked by United due to disagreements behind the scenes regarding team selections, tactics and transfer plans.
The Portuguese manager’s 14-month tenure saw the Red Devils finish 15th in the Premier League last season, while he took them to sixth as it stands, despite a recent run of one win in five games.
Under-18s manager and former United player Darren Fletcher is now their interim boss until a new permanent appointment is made, with a trip to Burnley providing his first test on Wednesday night.
Fletcher is bound to want to put his own ideas forward for the foreseeable future now that Amorim is gone, and Football Insider have predicted how his team could line up at Turf Moor.

Jack Fletcher and Joshua Zirkzee to start as Luke Shaw and Manuel Ugarte drop out
Senne Lammens has been a revelation in between the sticks for United since his summer arrival, so looks set to retain his place as first-choice under Fletcher.
Lisandro Martinez has captained the side in Bruno Fernandes’ absence, so he should start at centre-back alongside Leny Yoro and Ayden Heaven, as they continue in a back-three formation, given the short turnaround between games.
Left wing-back is where Fletcher could look to mix it up, with Patrick Dorgu given the nod in his favoured position over Shaw, who has started all 20 league games this season under Amorim, but clearly needs some rest after recent lacklustre performances against Wolves and Leeds.

Ugarte could be the other starter from Sunday’s clash at Elland Road to drop out of the team, with the interim manager’s son, Jack, potentially set to be handed his first league start for the club at Turf Moor next to Casemiro.
Diogo Dalot, Matheus Cunha and Benjamin Sesko look set to continue in their respective favoured positions, but Dorgu’s move to Shaw’s wing-back role could see Zirkzee handed a start after he changed the game with a smart assist against Leeds.
Oliver Glasner is the favourite to become United’s next permanent boss
Fletcher is in charge of United for the interim, but it seems highly unlikely that he will be given the job on a full-time basis due to his lack of managerial experience.
Old Trafford chiefs are set to quickly sound out a permanent successor to Amorim, with Crystal Palace manager Glasner the current bookies’ favourite to be United’s next boss.

Glasner looks set to depart Palace when his contract expires at the end of this campaign after recent disagreements with their board around transfers.
The Eagles still want him to sign a new contract soon, but a move to Old Trafford could appeal as he searches for his next challenge, with numerous top clubs linked to his services.
