Darwin Nunez reacts to Federico Chiesa message amid Liverpool exit developments
Darwin Nunez has responded to Federico Chiesa’s Liverpool message amid the speculation that the duo could leave Anfield this summer.
While the Reds clinched the Premier League title thanks to a remarkable campaign, neither the Uruguay forward or the 2024 summer signing played a major role in their side’s success.
Despite being Arne Slot’s only addition so far, Chiesa has made just six top-flight outings since leaving Juventus.
Meanwhile, Nunez managed a return of just five goals in 30 Premier League appearances, albeit he was mostly deployed as a substitute.

Chiesa celebrated the Reds’ Premier League success via Instagram on 25 May as he wrote: “Anfield Road.”
The post attracted a like from Nunez, who is expected to leave Liverpool this summer as exclusively revealed by Football Insider.
Meanwhile, former Man United midfielder Paul Scholes has also tipped Chiesa for the Anfield exit door.

But Liverpool’s status as Premier League champions will also allow them to make some exciting additions this summer, such as the increasingly imminent acquisition of Bayer Leverkusen star Florian Wirtz.
Liverpool have now overtaken Bayern Munich in the race to sign Wirtz, who has been a key asset for Leverkusen in the Bundesliga.
The attacking midfielder has notched an impressive return of 10 goals and 12 assists in 31 appearances in the German top flight this term.
Meanwhile, Liverpool are also closing in on Jeremie Frimpong, who has also shone for Leverkusen under Xabi Alonso’s stewardship.
