Darwin Nunez responds to Mohamed Salah’s new Liverpool social media message
Liverpool superstar Mohamed Salah has taken to social media after admitting he’s “probably more out than in” with the club yet to offer him a new deal.
The 32-year-old has been electric for Arne Slot’s side so far this season, scoring ten goals and providing six assists in his 12 Premier League games.
Salah scored twice in Liverpool’s 3-2 win over Southampton on Sunday (November 24), guiding the club to a massive eight-point lead over current champions Man City at the top of the table.
There is somewhat of a rain cloud over his remarkable run of form, however, with the winger one of three key players, alongside Trent Alexander-Arnold and Virgil van Dijk, who are out of contract at the end of the season.
As per multiple reports, Salah said: “We are almost in December and I haven’t received any offers yet to stay in the club. I’m probably more out than in. You know I have been in the club for many years.
“There is no club like this. But in the end, it is not in my hands. As I said before, it is December and I haven’t received anything yet about my future.
“I love the fans. The fans love me. In the end it is not in my hands or the fans’ hands. Let’s wait and see.”
Salah then expressed his disappointment regarding the situation, adding: “Of course, yeah. I’m not going to retire soon so I’m just playing, focusing on the season and I’m trying to win the Premier League and hopefully the Champions League as well. I’m disappointed but we will see.“
Mohamed Salah still waiting on Liverpool contract talks
Given his contract situation, the Egypt international would be able to negotiate a potential summer transfer from January 1st.
Salah would no doubt have plenty of suitors, but for now, he’s focused on winning a second Premier League title with Liverpool, taking to Instagram to share images from their most recent win. Darwin Nunez was among those to ‘like’ Salah’s post.

Salah will have to be at his best as Liverpool take on European Champions Real Madrid on Wednesday (November 27) before hosting Man City on Sunday (December 1) in what could be a title decider.
Slot has made an impressive start as Liverpool manager, collecting 28 points from the first 11 Premier League games, matching the record set by Guus Hiddink at Chelsea.
