David Moyes demands more from Everton as Friedkin Group nudged towards transfers
David Moyes seems to be sending a message to Everton owners The Friedkin Group ahead of the upcoming transfer window.
After the Toffees’ 1-0 loss to Tottenham Hotspur on the final day of the Premier League season, the Scottish manager lamented the lack of consistency from his team.
The 63-year-old head coach went on to say, “We need to get more; we need to add more to what we’ve got,” hinting at the need for reinforcements in the summer.
Sources told Football Insider in April that TFG wanted to discuss a new contract with Moyes at the end of the campaign and it will be interesting to see how those talks proceed.
The Hill Dickinson Stadium faithful want Dan Friedkin to put his money where his mouth is in the coming months and the Scottish manager will surely bring up recruitment during his discussions with the American owners.

Moyes should demand defensive additions at the Toffees ahead of the 2026-27 campaign, with the Scottish manager clearly lacking depth in the area.
Both full-back positions are a cause for concern for the Blues, with Jake O’Brien playing out of position and Vitalii Mykolenko the only option the veteran head coach seems to trust.

Football Insider understands that Jarrod Bowen is a target at Hill Dickinson Stadium, and with West Ham United’s relegation confirmed, it wouldn’t be surprising to see the 29-year-old forward leave London Stadium soon.
The Merseyside outfit have been crying out for a reliable goalscorer for several seasons now, and on top of the Hammers’ forward, a new number nine should also be a priority for TFG.
Friedkin Group to deal with multiple Hill Dickinson Stadium exits
Seamus Coleman has played his final game for Everton and a few more players may walk out the door in the coming weeks.
Nathan Patterson has been a bit-part player for Moyes and could potentially push for a move away in the summer.
The Toffees want Idrissa Gueye to stay for another year, but it remains to be seen whether the Senegal international will extend his stay or opt to leave as a free agent.
Beto and Thierno Barry’s situation in Merseyside may also change if another striker joins the Scottish manager’s squad, possibly leaving the Friedkin’s with some massive calls to make in L3.
