David Moyes tipped to be new Leeds manager after Farke sack – fans react

Leeds United fans have tipped David Moyes to take over at Elland Road if Daniel Farke is sacked after a disappointing start to the season.

Leeds have drawn two and lost one of their opening three games, conceding six across the first two against Portsmouth and Middlesbrough, before a 0-0 draw with West Brom.

As a result, the pressure on Farke’s job is beginning to ramp up amid frustrations which have been building since the playoff final last year.

Despite being heavily tipped and expected to achieve promotion at the first time of asking, Southampton emerged as the victors in the playoffs, leaving Leeds stuck in the second tier.

With renewed calls for Farke’s head, fans have begun naming their ideal replacements for the boss, with Moyes’ name continually popping up.

Leeds United fans call for David Moyes to replace Daniel Farke at Elland Road

Moyes has been out of work since leaving West Ham at the end of last season where he was replaced by Julen Lopetegui upon the expiry of his contract.

However, his time in East London saw him transform the Hammers from relegation candidates to European trophy winners as they lifted the Europa Conference League.

His potential availability has excited sections of the Leeds fanbase who believe he could be the ideal replacement for Farke as they took to social media to call for the club to get it done.

Others were not quite as positive about the move due to his style of football and previous links to Manchester United, as well as questions over whether he would take the job.
