David Moyes to Everton: ‘Well-placed source update as multiple options in race’
David Moyes is “not the only candidate” for the options to become the first appointed Everton manager by The Friedkin Group, according to BBC Sport.
According to the outlet’s website on 10 January, a “well-placed source” has told them that Moyes is the “frontrunner” to replace Sean Dyche.
The report also suggests that multiple in the running for the role as new owners The Friedkin Group (TFG) look to appoint the first manager under their ownership.
Ex-Burnley boss Dyche was sacked on 9 January with the club sitting in 16th in the Premier League, and just one point clear of the relegation zone.

Football Insider revealed that the Toffees are in advanced talks to reappoint Moyes as their new manager.
However, if the above report is to believed, we now know the Scot is not the only name in the race for the job.
Speculation surrounding Jose Mourinho’s potential arrival grew this week, with betting odds on the former Chelsea boss dramatically slashed. His appointment would certainly signal a bold statement from Everton’s new ownership.
Graham Potter was another contender briefly under consideration, with as he may have been an Everton fan. However, the Englishman was officially announced as West Ham’s manager on 9 January, ruling him out of the running.
Whoever steps into the role faces a monumental challenge. Everton are staring down a fight of another relegation battle. They have also scored just 15 goals in 19 Premier League matches — the second-worst tally in the league, ahead of only bottom-placed Southampton.
