David Moyes told to ‘go to Specsavers’ as West Ham controversy analysed – pundit
Kevin Campbell has suggested managers should be more open in post-match interviews after West Ham beat Bournemouth on Monday.
Speaking exclusively to Football Insider, the former Arsenal and Everton striker said the Hammers “got away with one” at the London Stadium.
Bournemouth were left incensed by the officials decision not to disallow Kurt Zouma‘s first-half goal on Monday night (24 October).
Thilo Kehrer handled the ball moments before the opening goal, and despite a lengthy review from VAR official Mike Dean, it stood.
The game was characterised by controversial handballs.
The Irons grabbed a second goal from the spot after the officials deemed Jordan Zemura to have illegally blocked a cross with his arm.
Speaking to the BBC post-match (24 October), David Moyes claimed to have not seen either incident.
Campbell claimed the Kehrer incident was “a blatant” handball.
“If David Moyes did not see that maybe he should go to Specsavers,” he joked to Football Insider. “It was blatant.
“Managers could say, ‘I have seen them given. We have got the rub of the green today.’ I would like to see that.
“I am sure West Ham know they got away with one there.
“It is part and parcel of the game though. Some decisions go your way, some don’t. West Ham deserved the win on the night though.”

The Hammers moved up to 10th with the win.
They travel to Man United on Sunday (30 October).
