Sky Sports pundit David Prutton believes that Leeds United will continue their fantastic start to the Championship campaign with a draw against Cardiff City in midweek.
Thomas Christiansen’s side travel to Wales on Tuesday evening and former Leeds player Prutton believes that the result will be an “entertaining” 2-2 draw.
Both Leeds and Cardiff, alongside Wolverhampton Wanderers, have picked up 20 points from their opening nine league games but the Yorkshire currently sit at the top of the table due to goal difference.
The Whites will be full of confidence after beating Ipswich Town 3-2 on the weekend at Elland Road.
Expression his opinion on the Sky Sports website, Prutton is confident that both teams will be flying into this match and he has predicted Leeds summer signing Pierre-Michel Lasogga to open the scoring.
“Is it going to be an early season marker for who might get into the top two by the end?” he wrote
“It’s probably a bit early for that but it’s certainly a barometer for the ambitions of these sides.
“Both sides had good wins on Saturday and will be confident heading into this game.
“Cardiff boss Neil Warnock will fancy getting one over on his old side and I fancy an entertaining draw.”
Leeds picked up a 2-0 victory in the reverse fixture at the Cardiff City Stadium last season with second-half goals from Chris Wood and Pablo Hernandez.
The Whites have won three out of their last four meetings against the Welsh club in the Championship.
Christiansen will be hopeful that his side can secure three points in midweek in order to maintain the club’s status at the top of the league table.
In other Leeds United news, a manager has made a massive admission about leaving this Whites defender out of his last squad.
