David Prutton believes that Leeds United will be unable to win a second game in a row when they take on Norwich at Elland Road on Saturday.
The Sky Sports pundit has predicted that the Whites will have to settle for a 1-1 draw with the Canaries as Thomas Christiansen’s side has struggled to bag consistent wins since mid-September.
Leeds have recently arrested a huge slump in form that saw them plummet from top of the Championship standings in September to 10th in November.
Former Elland Road midfielder Prutton believes that Thomas Christiansen’s side has made progress since then but is still unable to choose a winner out of them and Norwich.
“Norwich finally got a win on the board last weekend to end their dreadful run and ease some of the pressure on Daniel Farke. But their reward for that is a tough trip to Elland Road to face a Leeds side who are trying to close in on the play-off places,” he said on the Sky Sports website.
“Thomas Christiansen’s side have got over their dip in form, but haven’t recorded back-to-back wins since mid-September, and you really need those runs of results to get yourself up the table. I can’t split them though. Score draw.”
Leeds currently sit seventh in the Championship standings and are four points off the play-off spots.
Failure to win against Norwich could see the Yorkshire side drop as low as 11th if results go against them.
Farke’s side had been in awful form before they beat Sheffield Wednesday last week.
Norwich had gone eight goals in all competitions since their last win before easing past the Owls and they will now no doubt he hoping to get a second win in a row against Yorkshire opposition.
In other Leeds United news, this Whites fringe player has dropped a huge hint about a potential transfer in January.
