Dean Huijsen and Leandro Trossard react as David Raya arrives at new destination
Dean Huijsen and Leandro Trossard were among the players to react as David Raya linked up with the Spain squad for international duty.
Raya has enjoyed another standout season with Arsenal, claiming the Premier League Golden Glove for the second consecutive year.
His shot-stopping has proven vital throughout the campaign, with Raya nominated twice for Save of the Season, thanks to key stops against Aston Villa and Manchester United.
Despite boasting the league’s best defensive record, Arsenal ended the season without silverware once again, finishing second in the Premier League for the third year running.
Now, Raya turns his focus to the international stage, where he’ll be hoping to cap off an impressive individual campaign with silverware for Spain.

David Raya joins Spain for Nations League semi-final against France
While the club season may have drawn to a close, international action is picking up pace as Raya has now linked up with the Spain squad ahead of their Nations League semi-final clash with France.
The Arsenal goalkeeper shared a post on Instagram captioned: “First day at home” which drew plenty of reactions from club and national teammates.
Arsenal’s Trossard, Mikel Merino and Tottenham’s Pedro Porro were among those to like the update.
Dean Huijsen, who was previously linked with a move to Arsenal before joining Real Madrid, also showed his support for Raya with a like.
Raya was Spain’s first-choice goalkeeper throughout most of the Nations League group stage earlier this season, making five of six appearances. It remains to be seen whether he retains the starting spot for the semi-final.
At club level, Raya has been one of Arsenal’s standout performers, pulling off crucial saves and offering composure from the back. Now, fans will be eager to see if he can carry that same form onto the international stage.
Arsenal in talks over new contract for Leandro Trossard amid Saudi interest

While Trossard continues to remain active online, his long-term future at Arsenal is still up in the air.
Football Insider revealed that Arsenal have entered talks with Trossard over a potential new contract, with clubs in Saudi Arabia showing interest in a summer move.
Despite his contributions this season, some Arsenal fans have called for the club to move Trossard on and invest in a new winger, voicing the need for a more consistent option on the left flank.
The Gunners have already been linked with several attacking options, though it remains unclear whether a new signing will depend on whether Trossard puts pen to paper on a new deal.
