‘Dean Huijsen eyes Chelsea move in £150m Bournemouth update’
Dean Huijsen is one of a number of Bournemouth stars expected to leave the club this summer with Chelsea now at the head of the queue to sign him.
The 19-year-old only joined the Cherries last summer when he joined from Juventus on a contract until the end of the 2029/30 season.
However, Huijsen has quickly become a key presence in defence for Bournemouth, helping them mount a push for European qualification, with the club already recording their best Premier League points tally.
That is already leading to plenty of speculation around his future, with Chelsea and Liverpool among those understood to be interested in Huijsen.
But while there will be a battle for his services, the Stamford Bridge club may be in a strong position to win that race.

Dean Huijsen open to Stamford Bridge switch
According to a report from The i, Huijsen is already “seriously considering” a move to Chelsea in the summer transfer window.
The Blues are apparently looking to sign the Spanish international before they begin their Club World Cup campaign, and are willing to offer him a package across a seven-year contract.
There is expected to be changes in both defences and attack for Enzo Maresca‘s side ahead of the new season.
Bournemouth meanwhile are said to be braced for Huijsen to leave in the summer, with a £50million release clause in the teenager’s contract.

As well as Huijsen, two other key men in Antoine Semenyo and Milos Kerkez are also both expected to leave the Vitality Stadium.
The trio departing is reportedly expected to bring over £150million into Bournemouth, with Kerkez being heavily touted for a move to Liverpool.
Meanwhile, the likes of Man United have been linked with Semenyo, with the winger also impressing for Andoni Iraola’s side this season.

Chelsea can seal major coup with Bournemouth transfer
Football Insider Verdict
This season has turned into a rather underwhelming one for Chelsea, with the club relying on the Conference League for silverware, and facing a fight to qualify for the Champions League.
It would therefore be a big boost for the club if despite that, they were able to convince Huijsen to move to Stamford Bridge despite interest from runaway leaders Liverpool among others.
That would offer some hope that the club are moving in the right direction, and the centre-back does fit the mould they will be looking for in terms of signings rather well.
He is a young player who can be given a long-term contract as Chelsea like to do, with the time for him to develop into a major asset.
Already though, Huijsen has shown he would be a reliable option in the Premier League next season, based on his performances for Bournemouth in the current campaign.
All of that means the fact the defender is seemingly very much open to this move, should be exciting for Chelsea supporters.
