Dean Huijsen posts online response to Real Madrid ‘done deal’ claim
Bournemouth are braced for a plethora of transfer approaches for Dean Huijsen this summer with Real Madrid and several others interested.
Huijsen‘s performances for the Cherries this term have turned heads all over Europe, and culminated with a maiden pair of caps for Spain in March at the age of just 19 for the Amsterdam-born defender.
The now 20-year-old’s £50million buyout clause at Bournemouth has attracted a number of Premier League clubs to his potential availability, and Andoni Iraola could be consigned to lose the centre-back.
Clubs further afield will also have their eyes on Huijsen this summer with Real Madrid and Bayern Munich both fond of his displays at the Vitality Stadium, and the former’s interest has already come to a head.

Huijsen dismisses Real Madrid deal claim on social media
Ex-Man United scout Mick Brown told Football Insider in March that Madrid were “certainties” to sign either Huijsen or Virgil van Dijk this summer, and with the latter staying put, attention is back on Huijsen.
Big changes are expected at Estadio Santiago Bernabeu this summer with Carlo Ancelotti’s departure already confirmed, but Huijsen has been quick to rebuff a suggestions that he will sign for Real Madrid.

After a Huijsen parody account posted on X (13 May) with a white love heart emoji to imply his move to the Spaniards is a “done deal”, the Bournemouth defender responded.
Huijsen posted on his Instagram story (13 May) with a simple message in Spanish, which read: “I don’t have Twitter.”

Bournemouth could be powerless to prevent Huijsen transfer
Although Huijsen has done his best to deter rumours that he’s on his way to the Spanish capital this summer, that £50m release clause puts him well within the price range of Liverpool and other clubs.
Huijsen isn’t the only Bournemouth player likely to attract interest this summer, and Stefan Borson told Football Insider that the sales of the Spaniard, Milos Kerkez and Antoine Semenyo could bring in £150m.
Bournemouth will also anticipate bids for Huijsen’s centre-back partner Illya Zabarnyi this summer after a similarly impressive season, but Iraola will be desperate to maintain the nucleus of a side who could yet be in Europe next term.
