Rangers fans have taken to social media to lose their minds over the prospect of Brighton’s Jamie Murphy joining the Light Blues in the next 24 hours.
The Scottish Sun are reporting that the 28-year-old could sign a three-and-a-half year deal with the Ibrox club, and that the player could be heading to Glasgow for a medical by the end of Thursday.
The news of the move for Murphy has been warmly welcomed by Rangers fans, with one already declaring him a “legend”.
Here are some of the best reactions from Twitter to the news that Murphy is very close to joining the Gers:

Murphy began his career at Motherwell, and after scoring 34 goals for the Steelmen he moved to Sheffield United.
His career took off at the Blades, as he helped them win promotion to the Championship.
This won him a move to Brighton, where he has found it difficult to hold-down a first-team place as the Seagulls were promoted to the Premier League.
If Murphy makes the move to Ibrox he will join up with his new team-mates during their winter break in Florida, before possibly making his domestic debut against Fraserburgh in the Scottish Cup on the 21st on January.
