Declan Rice and Patrick Bamford react to Kalvin Phillips exit news
Declan Rice and Patrick Bamford have both reacted to Kalvin Phillips’ goodbye message to Ipswich Town.
The former Leeds United man made 19 Premier League appearances for the Tractor Boys this term during his spell on loan from Manchester City, but could not help Kieran McKenna’s men avoid relegation.
Meanwhile, courtesy of an injury, Phillips has not featured for Ipswich since their 2-2 draw with Everton on 3 May.
The 31-cap England international is still under contract at Man City until the summer of 2028, while former Manchester United chief scout Mick Brown exclusively told Football Insider that Phillips is keen on a Leeds return.

Bamford and Rice react as Phillips thanks Ipswich
Phillips would have hoped to enjoy a more successful loan spell at Portman Road, but could not stop their immediate return to the Championship.
Meanwhile, the 29-year-old posted on Instagram [26 May]: “A frustrating end to a tough season. I just wanted to say thank you, Ipswich Town.
“Thank you to the fans for making me and my family feel so loved after a difficult two years. Thank you to the staff & players, an unbelievable group that I loved being around every day. And a special thanks to the manager, a great manager but also a great person, who’s helped me on and off the pitch in so many ways.
“He made me believe in myself again. I have no doubt Ipswich will be back where they belong very soon, and I wish everyone at the club all the best.”
Phillips’ message attracted a like from both Arsenal star Rice and former Leeds teammate Bamford, who has been linked with a move to Wrexham.
Leeds can sign Liverpool star Kostas Tsimikas
It remains to be seen whether Leeds make their move for Phillips, who is clearly out of favour at Man City following back-to-back loan stints with Ipswich and West Ham.

But although the Elland Road outfit won the Championship title with a remarkable tally of 100 points, having notched an impressive return of 95 goals, Daniel Farke’s men must bolster their ranks ahead of competing in the Premier League next season.
The challenges posed by the top flight have been demonstrated by the fact that Ipswich, Leicester City, and Southampton have all suffered relegation back to the second tier at the first time of asking.
That is a fate which the Whites will be intent on avoiding, while Football Insider have exclusively revealed that Leeds are ready to sign Kostas Tsimikas from Liverpool this summer.
The Greece international has made 29 appearances for the Reds this term, helping them win the Premier League title, and should be capable of having a major impact in West Yorkshire.
