23-yr-old back to his best: Three Celtic players who proved critics wrong in win v Zenit

COMMENT
Celtic’s 1-0 victory over Zenit in the Europa League was an unexpected triumph for manager Brendan Rodgers and his playing squad.
With the Hoops decimated by injury, Rodgers took chances on the likes of Eboue Kouassi and Jozo Simunovic in the game, and the gamble paid off as the Hoops dominated the game from start to finish.
The only fear was that the goal might not come but when it did it was worth waiting for, as Charly Musonda’s lofted pass found Callum McGregor, who hammered the ball into the net in the 78th minute.
The victory should give the Hoops great confidence going into not only the rest of the season, but also the upcoming second leg in Russia, as the Bhoys look more than capable of getting a result there on Thursday.
The match also saw some players shut up the critics in the support, as they turned in exceptional performances against Zenit.
