Simunovic and Boyata’s poor form continues
Celtic’s centre-back pairing of Jozo Simunovic and Dedryck Boyata had a dreadful game as they were unable to cope with the physicality of Hearts’ strikers.
Their form has been criticised in recent weeks, as the Hoops have spluttered along, and the pair reached a new low at Tynecastle. Boyata was culpable for the first goal and Simunovic’s mistake leading to the third goal.
The duo have regressed badly since forming a solid partnership at the start of the season and it’s no surprise that Rodgers is looking for defensive reinforcements in January.
