Dejan Kulusevski reacts to Dragusin’s ‘comeback’ message after huge Tottenham blow

Radu Dragusin’s latest injury update gained the attention of Dejan Kulusevski on social media as new blows emerge at Tottenham.

Ange Postecoglou’s future is hanging in the balance at Tottenham, with Daniel Levy unlikely to make a cut-throat decision about his manager if the Europa League trophy comes to North London.

Matters have just become far more difficult before facing Man United in Bilbao, as Tottenham now have to deal with Kulusevski’s long-term injury, revealing his surgery on Wednesday, 14 May.

The Sweden international joins James Maddison and Lucas Bergvall on the treatment table for the remaining few games of the campaign, but some good news might be about to emerge.

Dragusin has been sidelined since damaging his cruciate ligament in January, last featuring in the Europa League group stage, but the defender could now return in time for the final on Wednesday, 21 May.

Taking to Instagram (14 May), Dragusin wrote: “Stronger every day. Small wins. Big comeback,” sharing a compilation of his most recent training session ahead of his return from injury.

Destiny Udogie, Micky van de Ven, and Brandon Austin all liked the post, joined by Kulusevski, who has dealt Tottenham yet another injury blow, with the midfielder undergoing surgery.

Postecoglou could not have asked for worse news at the Lilywhites prepare for the trip to Bilbao, especially with a Premier League clash against Aston Villa in between.

The squad will now be lacking a creative spark in the middle of the field, and while the club captain could be available, Tottenham fans have been highly critical of Son Heung-min this season.

Spurs have battled for much of the campaign without several stars, such as Cristian Romero, Van de Ven, Guglielmo Vicario, and Destiny Udogie, but this news only piles more pressure on the European final.

The manager is running out of excuses to keep him in the job in North London, and when the finger is pointed at Daniel Levy instead, the owner usually takes action by relieving the man in the dugout.

Winning the Europa League could certainly buy the Australian more time as Spurs boss, just in time for the summer transfer window, but supporters are unlikely to be won back anytime soon.
