Dele Alli drops huge hint on who he’s set to sign for next as ex-England star continues search for new club

Del Alli has been without a club since September, after he was released by Serie A outfit Como.

The former England international has had a tough time since leaving Tottenham, with moves to Everton, Besiktas and Italy clearly not working out.

Alli had only moved to Como in January 2025. However, after being sent off on his debut, he never played again and was soon released by Cesc Fabregas’ side.

Now, the 29-year-old could now be set to sign for a new club after his latest Instagram story on 19 December.

Fiorentina could be set to sign Deli Alli

While numerous Championship sides have been linked to Alli in recent months, the attacking midfielder could be set to stay in Italy

The former Tottenham star posted an image of what is likely him in purple shorts, with purple hearts also accompanying the image.

While the post does not confirm which club this may be, or if a move is close, the most likely destination appears to be Fiorentina.

The Italian side also plays in purple and are in need of reinforcements after their dreadful start to their Serie A campaign.

Currently, the side are bottom of the Serie A, with zero wins from 15 matches, and eight points from safety.

Therefore, they may now be looking towards Alli to pull them out of this mess, while it also means that the attacking midfielder can stay in Italy after leaving Como.

Where else could Alli revive his career?

One of the major clubs Alli has been linked to in recent months is Birmingham City, as they look to return to the top-flight.

However, it appears that the second-tier outfit decided not to progress with the deal to sign the free agent.

More attractive moves to Rangers and Sunderland were touted in the summer, but these quickly died down as the months progressed.

If Alli is to move to Fiorentina, it would not doubt be an immense challenge for the former England international given their current predicament. However, if he can find form, it could help him kick-start his career again.
