Dele Alli makes bold Tottenham claim

Dele Alli has made the bold claim that when Tottenham are on form no one in the Premier League can beat them.

The north London club are currently sat in second place in England’s top flight with 10 points separating them from first place Chelsea.

It is looking increasingly likely that Antonio Conte’s men have the title secured with 12 matches left this season.

However, Alli believes Spurs are the best in the Premier League when everyone’s fit and firing and has shared that the team “know where they should be.”

“When we are on form and playing well, I don’t think there’s anyone in the Premier League that can beat us,” told Alli to FourFourTwo magazine.

“There are no boundaries; there’s nothing we can’t do if we play as well as we know we can. It’s important that we’re ambitious. We know where we should be, and we know what we can do as a team.”

Tottenham fell to a third place finish last season after an end of season collapse prevented them from challenging eventual winners Leicester for the title.

They will now be looking to improve on that finish in this campaign and they currently sit ahead of third placed Manchester City by one point.

Additionally, those associated with Spurs will still hold a hope that they can challenge Chelsea for their first ever Premier League title before it becomes mathematically impossible.

Mauricio Pochettino’s side will face Everton in the league next on Sunday, while Chelsea will travel to West Ham a day later for the Monday evening kick off.

In other Tottenham news, this two-time Premier League winner has revealed Martin Jol once made an attempt to sign him.
