Hendry makes admission about Celtic deadline day drama after wrapping up switch
New Celtic signing Jack Hendry has taken to social media to express his joy at joining the Hoops, while admitted that he had a “very long day” on deadline day.
The 22-year-old centre-back arrived from Dundee in a dramatic deal that was completed just as the transfer window closed.
Hendry, who has signed a four-and-a-half year deal with the Bhoys, can’t wait to get going for his new team.
“Delighted to have signed for CelticFC!”, he said, as quoted on his personal Twitter account.
“After a very long day couldn’t of been happier to get it over the line! Proud and honoured to join such a massive club and can’t wait to get going! Thanks for all the messages.”

At one stage it looked as if the deal might not go ahead, as the transfer also involved Scott Allen, Scott Bain and Simon Murray at one stage, but the transfer was finally completed and Brendan Rodgers was able to sign a player that he has admired for a long time.
The former Wigan man has received rave reviews playing for Dundee, as he tried to help the Dens Park side avoid relegation.
Hendry may have his work cut out trying to claim a first-team place as he will competing with the likes of Kristoffer Ajer, Dedryck Boyata, Jozo Simunovic and Marvin Compper to be a first choice defender at Celtic Park, but as he has cost seven figures he might well be seen as a starter in the team.
Hendry could be in line to make his first-team debut when the Bhoys travel to Rugby Park to take on Kilmarnock on Saturday.
