Wood strikes again: FIFA 17 predicts Leeds v Birmingham
By Danny Wright
FIFA 17 has predicted that Leeds will be easily beaten 4-1 by Birmingham at St. Andrews on Friday night.
If this turn of events were to come true, Chris Wood becoming the Championship’s top goalscorer would offer little consolation to what was a humiliating defeat for they Yorkshire club.
Garry Monk’s side went in at half-time 3-1 down in this simulation as Che Adams opened the scoring for the home side after capitalising on a poor clearance from Luke Ayling.
However the lead didn’t last for long as it took just two minutes for Wood to equalise after tapping in from two yards out after originally hitting the post with his first shot.
If FIFA 17’s is correct, it will be Wood’s 24th goal of the season in all competitions and would see him take over Dwight Gayle as top goalscorer in the Championship.

The EA Sports game predicted that Leeds would fail to use take advantage of the momentum brought by their equaliser and Maikel Kieftenbeld put Zola’s side ahead with his second goal in as many games.
Craig Gardner scored a penalty kick after Stuart Dallas clipped the heels of Adams in the box, in this simulation.
Wood had a chance to narrow the gap but made a mess of a decent chance in a one-on-one situation.
The second half didn’t start too well either in this game as Pontus Jansson went off with a knee injury.
Gardner was then predicted by the video game to score his second goal late on in the game as Leeds pressed forwards in search for a goal.
The predicted loss could mean that Leeds would slip down to sixth in the Championship standings if Sheffield Wednesday and Reading won their respective games.
