Dire Thomas Frank stat indicates more misery is on the way for Tottenham vs Crystal Palace
It has been a terrible few months for Tottenham fans under Thomas Frank.
Despite an initial good start under the Dane, performances and results have slumped, causing Spurs to fall to 14th in the table.
A 2-1 defeat to Liverpool on the weekend was the latest, with Tottenham now on a streak of just one win in their last eight Premier League matches.
While Frank is not close to the sack at Tottenham at present, things do not look good.
Therefore, Sunday’s Crystal Palace fixture is a crucial game for the manager to turn his fortunes around. However, his record against the Eagles is far from impressive.

Thomas Frank has only ever beaten Crystal Palace twice
In comparison, Crystal Palace are having a fantastic season.
Under Oliver Glasner, the Eagles have already won the Community Shield and are pushing for European qualification again this campaign.
Therefore, expectations will already be low going to Selhurst Park, with Spurs’ form dire.
- Frank has overseen a poor run of recent form
- Tottenham have only one in their last eight Premier League matches
- The North London club is now being sucked into the lower half of the table
However, supporters’ optimism will decrease further when they see that Frank has only ever beaten Palace twice in eight meetings.
Usually, the Dane has seen out draws, with five clashes ending in a stalemate.

This is no doubt a dire stat, especially considering that Sunday’s Palace side is one of their best in their history.
Nevertheless, one positive is that both of Frank’s wins against Palace came in his last two meetings, with the Dane overseeing a double last season while at Brentford.
What has Frank said ahead of the Crystal Palace clash?
Ahead of the clash, Frank knows that he needs a result to turn Tottenham’s fortunes around.
However, the Dane is not blind and understands how difficult the task will be to take three points.
On 23 December, the manager spoke about Palace in his press conference, and wa quick to highlight their ability from set-plays.
He said: “Oliver (Glasner) has done a top job at Palace in many ways, really impressive. Clear identity of the team. Defend low, very compact, very difficult to breakdown. Incredibly good on the counters – probably one of the best in the league.
“Added, in last season, that they are very good on set pieces as well. One of the best at corners and added long throws as we saw last season. Very strong on set pieces. When they build, they have a clear identity in their 3-4-3 position. He’s done a really good, impressive job.”
