'It's a strange one' – Alli delivers verdict on Tottenham season ahead of Man United clash

Tottenham Hotspur star Dele Alli has delivered his verdict on his club’s season claiming the side have come a long way since last year but that it’s been a disappointment.
Tottenham currently sit third in the Premier League and also reached the semi-finals of the FA Cup.
Despite Chelsea beating them to the title they have still enjoyed a successful season, and if they beat or draw with Man United on Sunday afternoon, they will go the whole league campaign unbeaten at home.
However despite their successes, Alli has claimed this season has been disappointing for the club.
Speaking on Sky Sports, in an interview with Jamie Redknapp, the 21-year-old said, “It’s a strange one. It’s disappointing but at the same time we can’t forget how well we’ve done as a team.”

“We have definitely improved on last year but after the game against West Ham, everything before gets forgotten.
“[But] It’s important we don’t forget about what happened and how far we’ve come.”
Last season was also regarded as a disappointment by many Tottenham fans, as Leicester beat them to the title, and slip-ups towards the end of the campaign allowed Arsenal to finish ahead of them in the league.
Alli has enjoyed a fantastic season on a personal level too, scoring 17 goals and providing seven assists in 34 Premier League games.
The 17-time England international also played a key role in their passage into the latter stages of the FA Cup as he bagged three goals and two assists in five appearances.
