Celtic moved one step closer to retaining the league title with a 2-1 win over 10-man Hamilton at New Douglas Park.

The Hoops made a handful changes from the side which drew with Dundee, with Scott Bain, Kristoffer Ajer, Olivier Ntcham and Patrick Roberts all starting.

The visitors could have took the lead in the opening seconds, but Moussa Dembele failed to capitalise on a one-on-one opportunity, goalkeeper Ryan Fulton making the save.

The Bhoys did take the lead soon after, Roberts putting in some hard work to set up Callum McGregor who finished in style.

Hamilton equalised when Ajer misjudged a long ball allowing Rakish Bingham to equalise.

The game then changed just before half-time, when Hamilton’s Darren Lyon was sent-off for two quick bookings.

The Hoops took advantage when substitute Leigh Griffiths headed the Hoops back into the lead in the first minute of the second-half.

Sinclair came close to killing the game with a header which was tipped round the post by Fulton and Musonda also threatened late on, but the match eventually ended 2-1, meaning the Hoops only need one more win to secure the league title.
