Senior mainstay has worst game ever in 4/10 display: Celtic player ratings v Hamilton

MIDFIELD

Patrick Roberts – 6: Started off very well with an assist for the Hoops’ opening goal, but faded as the game went on. That is understandable considering it was his first game in more than four months.

Scott Brown – 6: A very quiet game for the Hoops skipper, marshalled things as usual in the middle of the park but seemed content to stay on the fringes of the game, a smart move perhaps.

Olivier Ntcham – 6: Had a decent game on his return to the side. His shots on goal were not up to much but he should be one of the first names on the team-sheet against Rangers after an acceptable showing.

Kieran Tierney – 6: Was targeted for some very rough treatment by the Hamilton players which lead to a red card, Hoops fans will be delighted that he got through it and is back in the team.

Callum McGregor – 7: Gave the Hoops the perfect start with a goal in the opening five minutes of the game, always caused Hamilton problems going forward and had a good game.

Scott Sinclair – 6: A mixed bag for the Englishman, who had a dreadful first-half but improved in the second-half with a great cross for Leigh Griffith’s goal. He, and the fans, know he can play better though.
