‘Disgrace’ – Liverpool fans savage Alisson as ‘unbelievable’ new footage emerges from Arsenal
Liverpool fans have slaughtered Alisson for his “unbelievable” mistake in their sensational defeat to Arsenal on Sunday evening (4 February).
The Reds suffered a huge dent in their title challenge after their 3-1 loss to the Gunners, with Bukayo Saka’s, Gabriel Martinelli’s and Leandro Trossard’s strikes confirming a massive win for Mikel Arteta.
However, Martinelli bagged the winner in the 67th minute courtesy of a massive blunder from the Liverpool goalkeeper.
The latest Sky Sports footage showed Virgil van Dijk attempt to usher the ball towards the Brazilian as Martinelli was closing in on goal.
However, the shot-stopper astonishingly jumped towards the ball but completely missed it, gifting his fellow countryman an open goal and Arsenal a 2-1 lead.
The defeat leaves the Gunners just two points below Jurgen Klopp’s side, while Man City now have the chance to return to the summit of the Premier League table if they win their two games in hand.
Supporters have taken to social media to hound out their typically excellent goalkeeper, and many believe he has single-handily cost them Klopp’s chance to secure a second league title before he departs Anfield.
