‘Disgraceful’ – Man United fans tear into ‘awful’ star who missed two big chances vs Everton
Man United fans have ripped into Joshua Zirkzee for his poor performance as he was handed a rare chance to shine against Everton.
Joshua Zirkzee has failed to make an impact at Man United ever since he joined the club from Bologna in 2024.
He netted just seven goals in 49 appearances last term, while he only managed to make 14 league starts as talk of him being set to depart after just a year with the Red Devils was rife in the summer window.
The striker has stuck around at Old Trafford despite numerous forward arrivals, but a lack of game-time has led Football Insider to reveal that Zirkzee wants to leave United in January.
He was handed a rare opportunity to impress against Everton on Monday (24 November) with Benjamin Sesko and Matheus Cunha out, but many United supporters will be pleased to see him leave off the back of the game.

Zirkzee was given his first Premier League start since April against the Toffees, but produced very little to prove that Ruben Amorim should have given him more chances during that time.
Everton had Idrissa Gueye sent off early on and so the game should have been easier for the Dutchman to make his mark on, but he played poorly and barely had any impact.
Zirkzee missed two big chances as he was denied by Jordan Pickford on both occasions, while he completed just 15 of his 25 passes attempted (60%), had only five touches in the Everton box and made just one pass into the final third across 94 minutes played.

United fans were not happy with their team’s performance in general as they lost 1-0 despite playing against 10 men for so long, but Zirkzee bore the brunt of their anger online.
One fan took to X to say: “Joshua Zirkzee is absolutely awful, can’t control a simple pass, can’t hold the ball up. Guess he suits us perfectly right now.”
Another said: “Zirkzee stans I hope you can hide your head in shame now, this is a disgraceful performance!”
