‘Disgusting’, ‘Clown’ – Man United fans tear into Mark Goldbridge after ban

Man United fans have slammed Mark Goldbridge’s “laughable” opinion on the club banning certain journalists from a press conference.

Reporters from Sky Sports, the Manchester Evening News, The Mirror and ESPN were refused entry to Erik ten Hag’s pre-Chelsea presser on Tuesday (5 December) amid reports of growing discontent in the United dressing room.

The boss explained that the outlets were banned because they failed to offer the club the right to reply to the damning claims, including that half of the squad had lost faith in the Dutchman.

Goldbridge, the well-known Man United commentator at The United Stand, backed the ban and criticised the journalists for not naming their sources and attempting to “derail” the club.

Fans have taken to social media to call out the “clown” and many feel he has no right to hold this view.

One fan blasted Goldbrige for being shameless.

One fan claimed that he should also be banned for being “too reactionary”.

Some supporters called for Goldbridge to reveal his own club sources after he criticised others for not doing so.

This fan collected plenty of evidence to prove his hypocrisy.

One supporter accused Goldbridge of being a “fake fan” and feels he has no right to discuss the matter.

One fan simply condemned him as a “disgusting hypocrite”.

One fan was baffled by Goldbridge’s response considering how much his channel depends on the work of journalists.
