'Disgusting treatment' – Dean Saunders slaughters Everton decision, urges senior man to quit
Former Aston Villa striker and talkSPORT pundit Dean Saunders has said that the treatment Sam Allardyce has received at Goodison Park since taking over is “disgusting,” and believes the former England manager should quit.
Speaking on the talkSPORT breakfast show broadcast on Monday morning at 6am, the ex-forward was in disbelief about the news that the Blues board had given their supporters a survey asking them to rate the manager’s performance.
The Toffees hierarchy has since apologised for their decision to undermine Big Sam but Saunders reckons that as a result, the Everton boss should hand in his notice.
“Disgusting treatment,” the 53-year-old told Alan Brazil on air, referring to the survey and added: “There’s your job. Give it someone else.
“He has made them better – they are eighth in the league.
“He’s gone in and made them tough to beat.”

Allardyce has been under mounting criticism from supporters for the way his team has performed since taking over from Ronald Koeman in October after the Dutchman was sacked amidst fears of relegation over the club’s poor start to the season.
But the ex-Bolton boss has allayed those concerns, steering the club to safety and to eighth place in the Premier League, which was the task given to him when he initially took the reins.
The 63-year-old has done what was asked of him and more but the negativity over his tenure remains.
