Divin Mubama undergoes Man City medical today after bid accepted – sources

Divin Mubama is undergoing his medical at Man City on Wednesday and the transfer should be completed on Thursday, sources have told Football Insider.

The 19-year-old was offered new terms by West Ham but became a free agent after his contract at the London Stadium expired at the end of June.

Football Insider revealed (August 19) that Man City have agreed personal terms with West Ham striker Divin Mubama after hijacking his move to Portugal.

Man City have also agreed a fee of around £1.5 million with West Ham as compensation for the young striker.

Sources say Mubama is regarded as a top talent for the future, but he is unlikely to be thrown into the first-team squad straight away following the sale of Julian Alvarez to Atletico Madrid.

City are also working on a signing a senior striker and are working through a shortlist that includes Celtic’s Kyogo Furuhashi.

The striker scored his first goal for the club in a substitute appearance during their 4-0 win against Cypriot side AEK Larnaca after but has not scored a senior goal since.

Since his debut in 2023, Mubama featured just 18 times for his boyhood club with only two of them as a starter.

The Premier League champions are in need of attacking additions after Oscar Bobb suffered a fractured leg in training and new arrival Savinho picked up a blow to his knee in the 2-0 win against Chelsea.
