‘Djordje Petrovic sale on cards as Andrey Santos set for Chelsea debut’
Djordje Petrovic’s Chelsea future could be under threat ahead of the summer transfer window.
The goalkeeper has made 30 appearances on loan with Strasbourg in Ligue 1 this term, helping Liam Rosenior’s men to enjoy a strong campaign in the French top-flight.
Strasbourg enjoy a strong relationship with Chelsea, as they are also a member of Todd Boehly’s BlueCo consortium.
Meanwhile, Enzo Maresca’s men will be keen to complete some of their transfer activity ahead of this summer’s Club World Cup.

Petrovic’s Chelsea future brought into question as Santos set to feature in Club World Cup
Petrovic made 31 appearances for Chelsea in all competitions before moving on loan to Strasbourg last August.

Meanwhile, Nizaar Kinsella was asked on BBC Sport’s live blog [13 May, 12.43pm] if the Stamford Bridge club could look to recall some loan players ahead of the Club World Cup.
Kinsella replied: “It is nearly certain that midfielder Andrey Santos will be involved, and I also think goalkeeper Djordje Petrovic could be. Petrovic is attracting a lot of transfer interest from within the Premier League and in Europe, and Chelsea might be tempted to sell him before the tournament starts.”

Chelsea close in on Leroy Sane move
The Club World Cup could dictate some of Maresca’s transfer activity at Chelsea, as the summer tournament hands him an opportunity to take a look at the likes of Santos.
Like Petrovic, Santos is enjoying a successful loan spell with Strasbourg, and has scored nine goals as well as creating three assists in 31 Ligue 1 appearances.
But while the 21-year-old could be set for his Chelsea debut this summer, goalkeeper Petrovic could make a permanent exit.
Meanwhile, as exclusively revealed by Football Insider, the West London giants are now leading the race to sign Bayern Munich’s Leroy Sane.
The former Manchester City man has helped Vincent Kompany’s men clinch the Bundesliga title by making a return of 11 goals and five assists in 29 top-flight appearances.
Sane could prove to be a strong acquisition for the Blues if he makes a Premier League return this summer, having previously proven his worth at the Etihad Stadium.
