'Doesn't turn up in big games' - Everton fans react to Kane overtaking Lukaku as top scorer
By Amir Mir
Harry Kane has overtaken Romelu Lukaku in the Premier League goalscoring charts – and Everton fans on Twitter have provided mixed views.
Tottenham striker Kane scored a remarkable four goals against Leicester City on Thursday night as his team secured an impressive 6-1 win.
Before the match, the England international was trailing his attacking counterpart by two goals, but a blitz towards the end of the match against the Foxes saw him overtake Lukaku.
Kane opened the scoring for the home team in the first half with a well-placed finish before he restored his side’s two-goal lead after the break with a header.
He then netted two goals in the final four minutes of the game which has now taken his season tally to 26, two ahead of Lukaku going into the final day of the season.

One Everton fan pointed out that the duo have been great but Lukaku just “doesn’t turn up in the big games”.
He failed to score in both Merseyside fixtures this term, nor against his former club, Chelsea, who went on to win the Premier League title.
But, he did score four against Bournemouth earlier on in the campaign, which draws criticism that he only scores against the so-called lesser sides.
Nonetheless, Lukaku has the chance to catch his rival and win an unlikely golden boot when his team play Arsenal on Sunday.
Luakaku will need to score a hat-trick and hope that Kane draws a blank away at Hull, who have already been relegated from the Premier League.
There were some Toffees supporters that were hoping that this would now give Lukaku motivation to try and overtake Kane on the final day of the season.

The goal aside, another reminder that Kane is a better player than Lukaku. Hard work + link up play + goals> just goals #EFC

Weird Everton fans fawning over Kane and Alli and not appreciating what we actually have.
