‘Dominic Calvert-Lewin in Everton u-turn as agents contact David Moyes’
Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s future at Everton remains uncertain but major new developments could be set to change the expected outcome.
Everton have been warned against handing Calvert-Lewin a new contract, with his nine-year stay with the Toffees currently coming to an end once his deal expires at the end of the 2024/25 campaign.
The 28-year-old has been unavailable since late January with yet another long-term injury issue, though the revival of Beto‘s career has come at an incredible time under Moyes’ leadership.
Despite much of the 2024/25 campaign being a struggle for supporters, many are becoming excited about the summer transfer window after the arrival of The Friedkin Group.
There could be several stars leaving Goodison Park before the move to Bramley-Moore Dock Stadium, but with a new update emerging on Calvert-Lewin’s future, he might not be one of them.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin could still sign new deal at Everton
According to i News (30 April), Calvert-Lewin’s new representatives have been in contact with Moyes recently and want to hold fresh talks over his future on Merseyside.
The 28-year-old has just switched agents, prompting speculation that he is preparing for a big move as a free agent this summer after having held off signing a new deal for months at Goodison, but that possibility looks to be back on the table.
He is just one of 15 players out of contract this summer, including the likes of Abdoulaye Doucoure, Idrissa Gueye, and Ashley Young, unless a deal is reached before then.

David Moyes set for summer of change at Bramley-Moore Dock Stadium
Football Insider verdict
Moving stadium is just a single change, albeit a massive one, that the Toffees are set to undergo during the summer transfer window, and players will be keen to be part of the process.
While Calvert-Lewin has been strongly linked with joining Newcastle United as a free agent, Moyes could be prepared to fight to keep the forward at the club while a huge new era begins on Merseyside.
Moyes has proven his ability to do exactly what Sean Dyche was unable to, with the Toffees moving 17 points clear of the relegation zone with the same squad as before.

After going nine matches unbeaten between January and March, there was even a slight chance that European football could be claimed in the wildest of twists, but form has slowed down since then.
The Friedkins are unlikely to unlock their war chest at Everton just months after taking over, especially with PSR restrictions in the Premier League, which is why keeping hold of Calvert-Lewin could make sense.
Whether the club will remain as interested after being kept at arm’s length is yet to be seen, but it appears the direction of travel under Moyes and the Friedkins appears to have turned the striker’s head at last.
Idrissa Gueye, Jarrad Branthwaite, and Doucoure could all be handed new deals as well, so it is clear that the new owners understand the importance of building a solid base before adding more signings.
