Dominic Solanke: Tottenham told new price tag by Bournemouth

Bournemouth are adamant Tottenham will have to meet Dominic Solanke’s £65million release clause, sources have told Football Insider.

Spurs are reluctant to break their club record to land the 26-year-old but Bournemouth have so far held firm in negotiations.

Football Insider revealed on Monday (5 August) that Tottenham continue to have a strong interest in Cherries star Solanke – who is said to be keen to make the move.

It is also believed that Liverpool could be a huge beneficiary of any deal after inserting a sell-on clause when he moved to the South Coast in 2019.

Sources say Spurs have made contact with Bournemouth over a potential deal for Solanke’s services.

He signed a fresh four-year deal at the Vitality Stadium last year, just months into his best-ever Premier League season.

The one-time England international hit 21 goals in 42 games in the 2023-24 campaign – including 19 in the top-flight.

Tottenham have set their sights on the ex-Chelsea and Liverpool star after failing to adequately replace departed talisman Harry Kane.
