Dominik Szoboszlai responds as Milos Kerkez shares emotional Liverpool message
Dominik Szoboszlai has responded to a message shared by new Liverpool teammate Milos Kerkez after the Reds’ pre-season friendly with Preston.
Liverpool’s visit to the Championship club marked their first outing since the tragic death of forward Diogo Jota.
Arne Slot’s side ran out as 3-1 winners thanks to goals from Conor Bradley, Darwin Nunez, and Cody Gakpo.
The emotional occasion also marked Kerkez’s Liverpool debut after the left-back joined the Merseyside giants from Bournemouth this summer.

Slot utilised the pre-season friendly with lower league opposition to hand game time to youngsters such as Trey Nyoni and Rio Ngumoha.
Meanwhile, Kerkez was one of 11 half-time changes made by the Dutchman at half-time, and enjoyed a victory in his first Liverpool appearance.
Taking to Instagram following the win over Preston, the former Bournemouth man wrote: “We stay together, we are Liverpool!”
Fellow Hungary international and new Reds teammate Szoboszlai responded to Kerkez’s message by commenting with a red heart emoji.

Even on an emotional occasion where football played a secondary role, Kerkez successfully helped his new club to victory in his first appearance, which is a sign of things to come.

Appearances | 38 |
Goals | 2 |
Assists | 5 |
The 21-year-old was arguably the best left-back in the Premier League last season, notching two goals and five assists to help Bournemouth finish in the top half of the top flight for the first time since the 2016/17 season.
When playing for a Liverpool side who boast world-class talents such as Mohamed Salah, Kerkez should be able to make even more attacking contributions next season.
The former AZ Alkmaar man appears in line to succeed Andy Robertson as Slot’s first-choice left-back, epitomising how highly rated he is.
Liverpool’s task this summer remains to continue strengthening a star-studded squad who claimed Premier League glory last season, while Kerkez’s signature can help them battle for more silverware.
Meanwhile, Liverpool News 247 have exclusively revealed that Reds academy star Kareem Ahmed is set to sign a new contract at Anfield.
