Dominik Szoboszlai reacts to Mohamed Salah announcement at Liverpool
Mohamed Salah was the subject of the latest announcement from Liverpool, catching the attention of teammate Dominik Szoboszlai.
The Egyptian had yet another incredible campaign at Anfield, notching 34 goals and 23 assists in 52 appearances, which helped the Reds secure the Premier League title in Arne Slot‘s first season in England.
Supporters were very concerned over the possibility of Salah leaving Merseyside at the end of his contract following eight years with the club, but he and Virgil van Dijk put pen to paper on new Liverpool deals.
That will be a huge boost for Slot and his staff behind the scenes during the summer transfer window, with business already beginning at Anfield after the announcement of Jeremie Frimpong‘s transfer.
Ian Darke told Liverpool News 247 (2 June) that the exciting new signing, however, is not guaranteed a spot in the starting lineup next season, and must prove himself in pre-season.

Taking to Instagram (2 June), the official club account wrote: “Your Standard Chartered Men’s Player of the Season for 2024/25… Mo Salah,” with a crown emoji.
Szoboszlai and Wataru Endo both liked the post in a show of support for their incredibly talented teammate, who helped the Reds to the Premier League title.
Arne Slot means serious business ahead of 2025/26 campaign
Football Insider verdict
Frimpong has already announced himself at Anfield, with a plethora of signings expected to walk through the doors before the 2025/26 Premier League campaign kicks off.
Football Insider understands Marc Guehi has turned down Tottenham in favour of a move to Liverpool, having massively impressed at Crystal Palace and even lifted the FA Cup.
The 24-year-old could be an incredible addition to the backline alongside Van Dijk, though that does call into question the future of Ibrahima Konate, who has been linked with an exit this summer.

Football Insider reported in March that Liverpool have made no progress with Konate’s contract situation, and there has been little known movement over the Frenchman’s future.
Caoimhin Kelleher, Kostas Tsimikas, Jarell Quansah, Darwin Nunez, and Diogo Jota are all expected to depart this summer, with Slot likely trying to shape the squad more to fit his playing style.
