Dominik Szoboszlai sends ‘coming soon’ message after Liverpool beat PSG
Dominik Szoboszlai sent a message to Liverpool fans following a smash-and-grab Champions League victory over Paris Saint-Germain.
The Hungarian star was one of the brightest sparks in an otherwise frustrating night in the French capital on 5 March, with Alisson having to be on top form for Liverpool to remain in the game.
Mohamed Salah, Luis Diaz and Diogo Jota all struggled to make an impact at the Parc des Prince, leading to all three being replaced, but Szoboszlai put his body on the line throughout the 90 minutes.
He kept running right until the final moment when Darwin Nunez and Harvey Elliott linked up beautifully to find an unexpected 87th-minute goal to take a lead back to Anfield for the second leg.
Dominik Szoboszlai quickly becoming indispensable at Liverpool
Taking to Instagram [6 March], Szoboszlai wrote: “Happy ending in Paris, Anfield coming soon,” with a skull and crossbones, and a red emoji.
The midfielder worked tirelessly through the hard-fought clash, and while he continued to lose out in the middle of the park, it was his tenacity and endeavour that kept his teammates going at the Parc des Princes.
PSG plans foiled by incredible Alisson performance
Football Insider Verdict
The only reason Liverpool are not travelling back to Anfield with a huge mountain to climb is Alisson.
The Brazilian thwarted several attempts at goal, denying and frustrating Bradley Barcola, Ousmane Dembele and Kvicha Kvaratskhelia.
Kvaratskhelia did have the ball in the back of the net at one point during the night but was cruelly denied by VAR, only for Elliott to spoil the party with just minutes left on the clock.

Salah, who has yet to sign a new deal at Liverpool, did not help in the slightest, having his quietest game of the season despite boasting 25 goals and 17 assists in the Premier League.
Either way, he will be given another chance to make a dent in the Ligue 1 giant’s Champions League hopes when they meet at Anfield in the second leg, and he will likely be far more fired up this time.
