Don Hutchison has slammed Tottenham ace Dele Alli and called him a “disgrace” for his horrific tackle as his side crashed out of the Europa League on Thursday night.
Belgian side Gent, who took a 1-0 lead going into the second leg at Wembley, recorded a 2-2 draw on the night to secure their passage to the last 16.
Spurs took the lead after 20 minutes before striker Harry Kane headed into his own net from a corner ten minutes later to level the scores.
Just before the half-time break, midfielder Alli was shown a straight red after he produced a studs-up tackle on Gent’s Brecht Dejaegere who was lucky to avoid injury.
Despite being down to ten men, the north London club did re-take the lead through Victor Wanyama, but a late goal from the visitors saw off the tie.
Nonetheless, the tackle by Alli did not go down well with former Liverpool player Hutchison who had this to say on his personal Twitter account.
“I’m a massive Dele Alli fan,” said Hutchinson. “But get off the pitch! Disgrace of a tackle. Career ender.”

After crashing out of Europe, Mauricio Pochettino will be hoping his team can turn their attention to the Premier League where they are looking to secure a top-four spot.
At this moment in time, they sit in a Champions League place, but dropped points at the weekend could see them drop out of the top four.
Pochettino’s side take on ninth-placed Stoke City at White Hart Lane on Sunday afternoon as they will be looking to maintain their unbeaten run in front of their own fans.
In other Tottenham news, this costly player could be axed when Spurs take on Stoke at the weekend.
